Volunteers

New volunteers are always welcome at the Kamloops Food Bank. 

At the Food Bank, we strive to give our volunteers opportunities to use their skills and talents, as well as learning new ones.  As a volunteer, you will have the chance to learn new skills, gain self confidence, discover your strengths and talents, and expand your social circle. 

Volunteering goes beyond your career search.  You will find volunteering fulfilling in many other ways. When you volunteer, you give a part of yourself, your time, energy, skills, and feelings.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Preparing Food Hampers
• Serving Clients (Noon to 3pm)
• Sorting Food
• Special Events Volunteer**
• Kitchen Assistance (Cooking lunches for volunteers)
• Grounds Keeping
• Building Maintenance

 **Special Events include tasks such as setting up, running, and taking down events that are held during evenings and weekends.  This includes, collecting donations at local sporting events, helping at Food Drive's, etc.  Volunteer Applications and Criminal Record checks are still mandatory for this caregory.

How to Volunteer

To volunteer at the Kamloops Food Bank you must complete the following:
        - Fill out an application form
        - Complete a mandatory criminal record check
*Both forms are to be picked up at the Kamloops Food Bank.

Groups of volunteers from schools, service clubs, businesses and churches are always welcome!
