Clients can access the Food Bank located at 171 Wilson Street on the following days:
FAMILIES - Monday, Wednesday & Friday 12:00PM-3:00PM
SINGLES - Tuesday & Thursday 12:00PM-3:00PM
COUPLES – Any day of the week 12:00PM-3:00PM *please don’t bring children to the Food Bank on Tuesday and Thursday.
CLIENTS WHO ARE WORKING OR IN SCHOOL - Thursday from 4:30PM-6:00PM
We are open to ALL CLIENTS every Monday at the United Church located at 421 St. Paul from 9:30AM-11:00AM
REQUIREMENTS:
To access the Food Bank, all clients must provide the following every time they come in: One piece of identification for every person in the household. This can include: BCID, Driver’s License, Care Card, Status Card, Birth Certificate, Social Insurance Card, Permanent Resident Card or Passport. Proof of address. This can include: Driver’s License or a current piece of mail from an official source (phone or utilities bill, document from government agency, etc). *Clients accessing the Food Bank on Thursday nights (if working or attending school) need to provide the above, as well as proof of employment or enrolment. FOOD HAMPERS: Dry food hampers are available to clients once every calendar month. Clients can also access the Food Bank twice a week for bread and produce. Hampers available are: Single Double Family (3-4 people) Large Family (5 or more people) Transient School Snacks (ages 2 and up & are attending preschool or school) Baby (from birth to 2 years) Birthday (18 years of age and under) Christmas (December only) *Diabetic *High Protein *Prenatal *Doctor’s note is required for proof of Diabetes, high protein diet and pregnancy
